I do, all the time.
My yarn folders have something like 3 years worth of clippings on this and
that from a range of email lists and newsgroups. It's terrific to go to a
folder, looking for a bagel recipe or something, type "bagel" and find it
in a flash.
I operate from a bunch of different computers, and frequently check mail
with Eudora, but nothing comes off my email server until I download that
soup packet, which is my definitive archive. When everything else is
broken, I can generally still get into my unix shell and run uqwk. It's why
I maintain that provider, even though I get a cheaper PPP connection
elsewhere.
