Yep, that's it. Unfortunately charset conversion when reading Polish
newsgroups and mail is a must.
: It looks like your program does a bit more than what I was planning to
: do. I think it would be a worthwhile addition to the community. One
: addition I could think of is conversion between ISO-8859-1 and
: ISO-8859-2 and possibly some of the other ISO-8859 tables.
I can add full iso-1 and iso-2 support, but someone :) would
have to prepare the conversion tables.
: In DDigest, I was just planning on decoding the header lines and
: possibly handle the quoted printable message bodies. I wasn't
: planning on converting charsets.
Souplk decodes both the header lines (talking about =3D?US-ASCII?Q?
parts, aren't we?) and quoted-printable bodies. Since I'm a bit lazy
:) the multiple part messages are not handled (unless they're 8bit
encoded) as well as bigger messages (48kb or 64kb depending on the
encoding - quoted-printable or 8bit).
In a couple of days I'll prepare a version of souplk without charset
conversion. It may take a while since the sources are kinda messy :)
: Could
: you please provide a short description (less than 100 words) of
: "souplk" for my web page? Also, I already have the ftp location, do
: you have a web page to link to?
I'll give you the description tomorrow, after I take a look at your
page. The address of my page is in the sig below.
Talk to you later.
Peter.
