This would work if the two news bases were always kept in sync. To
get them in sync, you'll either have to copy the newsbase from one
machine to the other, or zero both newsbases.
If you copy the newsbase, copy the history.dir, history.pag, news.dat,
supersed.dir, supersed.pag, and active files from the yarn directory,
all files in the yarn/overview directory, and the newsrc file from
your HOME directory. Alternately, just copy news.dat and run rebuild
on _both_ systems. Since the other files are just a fraction in size
of the news.dat file, I'd just copy the whole deal over.
To zero the news bases, you could probably just delete news.dat,
history.*, and supersed.*, then run rebuild. You might also have to
delete the files in the yarn/ overview directory.
Once you have the two news bases in sync, keep them in sync by
_always_ importing the same SOUP packets into _both_ news bases in the
same order. Then copy the newsrc file. If you _ever_ skip a SOUP
packet on either news base, the two news bases will be out of sync and
you'll have to re-sync them.
Talk with you later,
