Correct.
I could imagine a utility that'll scan the news base and newsrc file
then create a list of Article IDs along with an indication of them
having been read. Then transport this list to the second machine and
create a new newsrc file based on the article IDs and it's news base.
Unfortunately, it's a bit more work than I want to get into.
