That isn't as impractical as it may seem. If the goal is to reduce on-lin=

time (it is for me), then it's probably more effective to download
everything unattended and select offline than select while being online.
This isn't true for newsgroups with extremly large messages (>20 KB, such
as *.binaries.*).
