I would like to at least see the HTML code stripped leaving only the
text. It would be nice if image links were replaced by an active
placeholder that waited until being clicked before retrieving the image
[ if it was not already in an image database ].

I don't like full browsers for mail and news, but it would be nice to be
able to efficiently retrieve and save images from the 'net sometimes.

You could dump the whole message to a browser, but..
