yarnx upgrade

The 32 bit version of yarn uses the pmode/w dos extender, but an
earlier version -- something like version 1.24.

I recently came across the most recent version of pmode/w -- version
1.33. I comes with programs that let you replace earlier versions
with the latest version in programs like yarnx.exe, and with a configuration
program that lets you set various parameters. For instance, you can
eliminate the copyright message that appears when you start yarnx.
I also discovered that chin had set the reserved extended memory to
a hugh value, so that yarnx essentially tries to reserve all your
remaining memory when you start it up. By reducing the reserved
memory to a reasonable amount I was able to make yarnx start up
much faster, and perhaps behave better when other programs are being
run along with yarnx.

I seem to recall in previous posts that a bug in the early version of
pmode/w caused certain problems with yarnx. Perhaps the latest, debugged
version of pmode/w eliminates these problems.

There I suggest that those of you want to, update yarnx with the
latest version of pmode/w. You can find it, among other sites at:
