A mouse for Yarn

For those of you that want some of the features of the - well-
point and shoot, click and clack, drag and drop, GUI, WYSIWYG
type interface without using windows:

I thought I would recommend the program xpcmouse (file is called
xpcmou13.zip on Simtel) for yarn. It is a TSR that gives you
mouse cut and paste, and in principle mouse cursor movement, in
yarn. Actually it works generally in DOS on the command line
or within programs that dont have their own mouse handler.

With xpcmouse you can cut and paste all kinds of text -
URLs, e-mail addresses, little golden blocks of text within
yarn. It works out of the box with 16 bit yarn, but you
have to hit a couple keys, within 32 bit yarn, to wake the
mouse up. Alternately, you can use a special option when you
first load the mouse. The program automatically turns off when
a program with its own mouse starts up. So if you want xpcmouse
to work in your selected editor, either choose one without its own
mouse or choose one that can disable its mouse (e.g., vim).

Once you grab some text with xpcmouse, you can paste it into
any dos program, editor, on the command line, etc. Alternately,
you can cumulatively paste selections into a file of your choice,
by hitting a couple of hot keys.

In theory, xpcmouse can also move the yarn highlight, but I have
not gotten this feature to work yet in yarn. It does work fine
in most editors.

Hope this is a convenience for some of you -- it is for me.
