I was only worried about text mode support in Java. Also a C++
version of the library would be good for me, for porting to OSes
that have no Java support(they do exist - I write code under one
:) Otherwise, if Java will do then Java will do I suppose.

Java or C++ I dont think really matters. I just wanta see some
fairly reliable code reading the newsbase - after that people can
do whatever they like with it :)
