In addition to using RSA keys version 5.0 has introduced a different type
of key (Diffie-Hellman). If someone you are communicating with is using
one of the new keys you need version 5 as 2.6.2 won't understand it.
Version 5 also uses different algorithms to MD5 for signing and lots of
messages on newsgroups are signed with the new algorithm. Again 2.6.2
won't work. My little REXX script asks whether I want to use 2.6.2 or v5.
The PGP world has all got a bit muddled and messy recently which is a
shame.
