It means they are "Old". When you first enter the Inbox after importing
the message, it is marked "N" for "New". If you do not read the message
before leaving Inbox, the next time you return it will be marked "O".
To change this to "R" for "Read", you must read the entire message
meaning that the end of the message must appear on the screen.
