I will try that. This would, of course, leave me with a nice clean-
up job on the "inbox.bak" file. It's got a few msgs right at the top which
I was saving for later replies. These older msgs continue to appear on the
list. I'll first get rid of them and check what happens.
When I looked at the inbox file with a text reader, I confirmed that
the new mail was being added. I could read all the new msgs with the text
reader. On the first line of most msgs (the line which begins with "return-
path...") there appear to be, in most msgs, a code of some type. Usually
it is a letter such as "B" or "E" but sometimes it is a series of ASCII
characters (such as sigma). Does anyone know what these codes mean or where
I can get a list of definitions for them?
