Yarn's ``dead in the water'' problem

I think we all know by now that the yarn we have is the one we are
stuck with, as far as Chin is concerned. This has been pretty well
established. However, it is nice to see a sudden burst of posts to
this digest, no?

In light of the no Chin/no source code problem, yarn users are faced with
making the best of what they have, or moving on to a program or programs
that have some dynamic possibilities for changing with the times.
