I don't know anything about vsoup, so can't tell if it is doing what it should,
But import definitely should give you a "import: filtered mail to folder INBOX"
message for each mail message.

Does your yarn config file (%home%/yarn/config or %yarnrc%) include a
filter= line? What does it say? (Normally filter=%d\filter1 %f)
Do you have a %yarn%/filter1.exe file?
How about a %home%/yarn/filter file? If so, what is in it?

You might want to stop inbetween the vsoup and import runs above (at a time
when vsoup reports that you had mail) and see what the MAIL_IN/AREAS file
looks like and if there are *.MSG files there.
