I need to find a new news server.

Greetings, I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help me.
Unfortunately, there is only one ISP in my local area and, even more
unfortunately, they cary a very limited selection of news groups.
Because of this, I am looking for a publically-accessible news service,
preferably a free one, but commercial would be a possibility depending
on price. A friend of mine mentioned remarq, has anyone used them?

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.
