I just exchanged e-mails with Chin about this topic last week.

Please note that this is *not* an official announcement, and might be
subject to change. But he said that he is slowly cleaning up the Yarn
source as he finds the time, and it also sounds like his eventual goal
is to release the source, perhaps under the BSD license.
