I'm not aware of any previous Yarn source being made available. But
even the source to 0.89 would be quite useful, I think.

That's something I suspect a lot of us would be interested in. :-)

I would like to see a port to the BeOS, also, and perhaps some added
functionality (like a "U" command similar to what slrn has that lets
the user select a URL from the current posting and pass it to the
browser of their choice).

Until the source is actually released, though, all we can do is wait.
And like I said, I have no idea what time frame is involved here.
