No, not my definition of "bloatware". (Hi, Howard.)

Most of the UKA_PPP files are editable scripts and menus that handle
all sorts of network and application contingencies, including
configuration dialogs, and auto-download and install of useful stuff
like YARN.

If required, most of the script files could be dispensed with or
edited much smaller. The executables themselves are already quite
small.

But UKA_PPP is actually more than a transport agent, it's an
interface for running Telnet, FTP, browsers, whatever. Menu entries
are provided for a variety of clients. (I myself prefer the Conex
terminal emulator and Waterloo FTP offered in previous versions,
which are still available.)

I think that UKA_PPP and software you've taken an interest in,
SMTPOP12, were meant to serve somewhat different functions.
