I find the ``show the headers fast and first, download the
messages only if the users asks for them'' more convenient
than yarn, for large groups. Yarn puts all the posts in
a group (except those you filter out automatically) on your
hard drive, where most of the time I only actually want to
read a fraction of them.

What is it you find ``tedious'' and how is yarn's procedure
better?
