I struggled with Win98 scripting for weeks before finding
AutoIt and in one day had a rough automation of YARN working.
The documentation is good but it took a few hours understanding
how to capture the windows programs and push their buttons.
Probably someone fluent in Jscript or VBscript might prefer
using them, but i did notice that some MS programmers still use
batch files instead of scripting. Anyway, the AutoIt program
combined with DOS batch files in Win98 is easy. Here is the
web page for AutoIt:

Hummm, i'll need to work on this. I managed to automate the old "shell
account" downloads and recover from just about any problem. But, with
SOUPER the POP server data appears to be deleted as it is downloaded.
If something hangs, then we are stuck with whatever data is left on
our system.
