I just posted the FIRST public beta for JSoup 1.0. JSoup is (will be) the java
equivalent of SOUP/VSOUP and those that are interested in such things ought to
have a look. The URL is: http://www.erols.com/mcbrides/js100b.zip

The purpose of this BETA is to collect information concerning the ANSI screen
I/O on various JVM's. JSoup is being developed on OS/2 with the JDK118GA and
works very well... color and all.

Yes Folks! This is a text mode application written in Java...

The documentation is non-existant, but do read the comments in run.cmd and
JSoup.cfg. There's more than enough there to get JSoup up and running.

This release represents a NON-THREADED newsclient that generates soup
compatible message files that Yarn can import. Basically, it's not a great
performer, but works very well as is.

Cheers, please send any and all comments to: Jerry at mcbrides@erols.com.

Thank you.
