The newsrc file lists newsgroups in the order they are presented in
Yarn. You can reorder them by reordering the lines in this file. Several
of the utilities that come with the Yes editor also address reOrdering:

Yes comes with Reorder, which directly allows you to reorder newsgroups,
either manually or by some criterial. The Yfolder utility allows you
to reorder messages in a Yarn folder. In theory, this could work on
the news messages in news.dat, since it is just a certain kind of
yarn folder. But you probably do not want that. You probably want
to reorder newsgroups, and they reorder messages within each group
separately. I do not know exactly which yarn data-base files control
the order of messages within a particular newsgroup.
