Concerning "Indenting quotations";
The second half of this message is commented with ascii(8) (backspace)
and the first part ascii(255), which is FFh as an unsigned byte and -1
as a signed char.
I tore my hair out over this one a few years ago and eventually gave
up. Both of these solutions cause problems (I forget what kind) and
neither one works in all editors. I normally use "~ >".
