many thanks for the link. I've finally fixed the problem. It seems
with win9x and NT all you need do is put the SET TZ setting in the
autoexec.bat, however with win2000 it must be totally removed from
any autexec.bat and included in the environmental settings in
control panel -> system -> advanced -> environmental settings.

At last I have the correct time :-)
