The first is called DietWatch. Now, I'm
no health nut or anything, so I didn't really want to try this at first. As
soon as I did, though, I was hooked. You enter in the foods you've eaten for
the day and DietWatch calculates the nutritional values, shows you whether
you're under, over, or right on track according to your chosen diet, calculates
your caloric loss based on any exercise you've done, provides graphs, charts,
reports, etc. I'm amazed at how few calories I eat in a day and how many of
those are the bad kind. This program is revolutionizing my eating habits, I
highly recommend it.
Second is a little web design application called Browserola.
This is a must for anyone who needs to see what their web sites look like on
multiple, especially outdated, browsers. Browserola is, in short, a browser
emulator. At present it can evaluate your site according to HTML 2.0, 3.0, and 3.2
specifications, Internet Explorer releases from 1.0 through 4.0, and Netscape
1.0 through 4.0. The next version will include HTML 4.0 and the AOL browser.
All that for a small registration fee of $49 US. Go to the site and download
the trial version, it's a lot of fun.
Go on to my old browser unfriendly web page.
Recently I've found two little programs that quickly worked their way into
my daily computer regime. The great thing is they both work with my browser,
so they don't take up too much disk space.
