I have a number of web pages I use to find cheap travel:
- Airfarewatchdog.com - e-mail's me human searched deals from YYZ and BUF every day.
- Kayak.com - good site to compare prices for hotels and air travel. Note: Do not use for Canadian domestic air.
- FlyerTalk.com - granddaddy web board of deals and information. Found out about my SFO-AKL trip here. Sub sections of interest include:
- Mileage Run Deals
- GLBT Travelers
- Miles & Points - links for travel deals and hints on airfare, hotels, and car-rentals. My standing YYZ 60$ all in 3 day rental from Hertz came from here. (PS it is using a Marriott coupon and LAST fare code)
- ITA Software - find interesting flights, useful for mileage-runs.
- Hotwire.com - decent 4* hotels...
- Priceline.com - mmmmmm.... 40$ 4* hotels......
- Tripadvisor.com - don't book that 3* hotel before looking it up on here...
- Flightmemory.com - not a cheap travel site, but an on-line log of my flights. Not complete, and under construction as I enter in my notes.
