Alyssa Milano - Actress
Alyssa Milano was born December 19, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York, the
daughter of Italian-American parents. When her babysitter took her to
an open audition of a tour of "Annie," the sitter got rejected, but
Alyssa beat out more than one thousand other children to capture the
role of one of the orphans. At age seven, Alyssa joined the "Annie"
tour, accompanied by her mother. This was followed by off-Broadway
productions and television commercials. Her career resumed when she
played a regular on the sitcom, "Who's the Boss?" (acquiring the role in
1983 at age 10). Portraying Samantha Micelli, alongside Tony Danza, she
drew success toward her family, the role causing her family to move to
Hollywood. She still found time in 1985 for the action film "Commando,"
in which she portrayed the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
After her successful sitcom ended, Alyssa tried popular music. Although five albums that she released in Japan all went platinum and did remarkably well in Europe, they were unsuccessful in North America. They were entitled: "Alyssa," "Look in My Heart," "Best in the World," "Locked In a Dream," and "Do You See Me?" The young star turned once again to films, "Embrace of the Vampire," and "Poison Ivy II," (1995) but they were considered soft porn and proved equally unsuccessful for her career. They did allow her to cast off her girl next-door image in exchange for Alyssa Milano vampire interests. Soon she played in a television movie about Amy Fisher for CBS, and was able to capture a role on the popular television series, "Melrose Place," which turned her career onto a more successful path. This was followed by a more significantly successful role in "Charmed," co-starring with Shannon Doherty and Holly Marie Combs. Alyssa has been voted Number 4 in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women List, and in a minor note, a photograph of her was used as the pattern for creating Ariel in the Disney movie, "The Little Mermaid." Interest has remained high for Alyssa Milano. Nudity has been the spark, though she still remains in many eyes as the girl-next-door. Note, that Brooklyn has been the birthplace of many successful and varied artists from Marisa Tomei, Jay-Z, Foxy Brown and Monica Keena. .15hqqv. Free counters provided by Andale. | |||
