Carmen Electra Actress
Carmen Electra (Tara Leigh Patrick) was born in Ohio on April 20, 1972
(Year of the Rat). Growing
up, she attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts at
the age of nine, where she took singing lessons and vocal talents. In
her teens, she performed as a dancer in musicals and later worked as a
dancer at an Ohio amusement part. At age fifteen, she moved to
Minneapolis to live with her sister, finding work as a clothing model
for a department store. Four years later, she enacted her ambition to
move to Los Angeles where she changed her name to Carmen Electra, and a
week later had the good fortune to cross paths with music giant, Prince.
The star liked her style, so he signed her to a Paisley Park Records
deal in 1992, but her musical career faded with the flop of her single
and the failure to successfully promote her self-titled album. Her
subsequent career moves were wide and varied from an appearance on the
Nickelodeon Show, All That, then posing for Playboy, which included a
video, "Playboy Cheerleaders", in which she had the opportunity to sing.
She briefly and unsuccessfully replaced Jenny McCarthy on MTV's Singled
Out and later, and more successfully replaced Pamela Anderson on
Baywatch. Subsequent claim to fame includes her on-again-off-again
romance with basketball's bad boy, Dennis Rodman. The 5' 4" green-eyed
actress-singer, with Irish, German and Cherokee heritage, has since been
ranked highly in various 100 Sexiest Women magazine polls, has appeared
on the cover of the April 2003 Playboy, has been an attractive addition
as occasional hostess of the Robot Wars, and is sometimes quoted. Also keep track
