Elisha Cuthbert - Established Star
Elisha Ann Cuthbert, nicknamed "Heesh", was born November 30, 1982 in
Calgary, Alberta. She grew up in Quebec, then moved to Los Angeles at
the age of 17. Heesh started out as a child actress, hosting
television's Popular Mechanics For Kids, followed by another popular
children's show, "Who's Afraid of the Dark?". The latter has been
responsible for initiating the careers of Hayden Christensen in Star
Wars, and Rachel Blanchard in Clueless the series. Many subsequent
uneventful appearances followed before her role in the 2004 movie, "The
Girl Next Door." Then she achieved follow-up success on television as
bad girl, Kimberly Bauer in "24" along with actor Kiefer Sutherland. Her
only complaint was that she felt like "one of the Simpsons", having to
wear the same wardrobe for the entire season.
Elisha represents another actress-model, who first stepped into the consciousness of the public, through innate attractiveness. But, unlike other actresses, who have emphasized and customized their attributes, she has the energy and talent to take her further. Expect her to excel far beyond a limited category. This is one tough cookie and serious actress, who won't be pigeon-holed into bimbo roles. The public has yet to see what she is capable of.
