I must confess that I'm not entirely vegetarian: I do eat fish and shellfish. So the fish wouldn't wear white scarves for me. I haven't knowingly eaten cows, pigs, birds, or other land animals since 1991, though.

• The Brew-on-Premises Pages. Brew-on-premises is an idea that's caught on well in southern Ontario; it's how Dave and I make our beer. We go to a place that has big copper kettles, all the ingredients, hundreds of recipes, and a great big refrigerator, and we make beer. They clean up afterwards. We go back two weeks later and bottle what we've brewed. It's really good beer, and costs about half of what it would at the beer store.
