Emily Way

Disclaimer, June 1, 1999: this page and the content below it are all here for historical reasons and are not maintained. My new site is much more up to date and shouldn't have broken links.
Welcome to my Web site. Most of my Web efforts lately have gone into its newest section, the REEL WORLD, where I'm keeping track of all the pre-1950 movies I've seen, reviewing them one by one, and just generally being a budding film geek. Oh yeah, and I'm now maintaining the FAQ (frequently asked questions) for the Usenet newsgroup alt.movies.silent. Otherwise, I'm still cranking away on Wool Works, the Web's first and possibly biggest handknitting site, and going through this site and cleaning up dead links now and then.

Dave and I recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary (woo!) -- this site has pictures of the ceremony, a simple civil one that took place on November 10, 1997, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the front lawn of City Hall.

My other bits of news: on December 8, 1998, I became a permanent resident of Canada. Yay! (See my American's guide thereto.) Also, after serving for a year as the vice president of iComm, a nonprofit ISP that gives its services to charities and community organizations for free, I've been elected president. Please visit the iComm site to find out more about what we do.

I'm employed again, this time on a contract writing help pages and educational materials for an electronic commerce Web site. I like it here.

Please sign my guestbook to let me know you've been by. I hope you enjoy the site.
