Emily's food and drink page

It is beneficial to one's health not to be carnivorous. The strongest animals, such as the bull, are vegetarians. Look at me. I have ten times as much good health and energy as a meat eater. My hearse will not be followed by mourning coaches but by herds of oxen, sheep, swine, flocks of poultry and a small travelling aquarium of live fish, all wearing white scarves in honour of the man who perished rather than eat his fellow creatures.
-- George Bernard Shaw

Drink

  • Scotch.com, full of information about a drink that I really did try to learn to like -- I just like Jameson's Irish whiskey much better.
  • The Brew-on-Premises Pages. Brew-on-premises is an idea that's caught on well in southern Ontario; it's how Dave and I make our beer. We go to a place that has big copper kettles, all the ingredients, hundreds of recipes, and a great big refrigerator, and we make beer. They clean up afterwards. We go back two weeks later and bottle what we've brewed. It's really good beer, and costs about half of what it would at the beer store.
  • Eric's Beer & Homebrewing Page. Contains reviews of pubs all over North America.
  • Dan Brown's Beer Page. Lots more information about good beer.
  • The Wine Page, with links to other wine pages.
  • Wines on the Internet.
  • A coffee pot somewhere in England. See how full it is.
