Liberty torch

This torch is an exact replica of the one held by the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The plaque notes (in English) that the torch is a symbol of friendship between France and the United States; the flame is covered with graffiti, and the handle is plastered with advertisements and posters. Lurking in the background of this picture is of course the Eiffel Tower, which seems to lurk in the background of nearly every picture of Paris.
