is the Fontaine de Médicis, in the Jardin du Luxembourg.
The Jardin is one of the largest parks in Paris, and the Palais
there, built by Marie de Medici from 1615-1627, before she was
banished by her son the new king, now houses the French Senate.
The Jardin is in the heart of the Quartier Latin, near Boulevard
St. Germain, which is full to overflowing of breathtakingly expensive,
exclusive boutiques. (Think Gianni Versace, Louis Vuitton, that
sort of thing. The Emporio Armani had a café. Yikes.)
