David and Emily's wedding
David MacKay Mooney and I were married on November 10, 1997, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at City Hall, after a one-month engagement. We always do things by the seats of our pants. We'd been dating since February, 1992, and we've lived together since April of 1995, but because we're us, we spent just about no time planning our wedding. I wore dark green silk velvet; David wore his Clan MacKay kilt. We were lucky to have such a beautiful day for the ceremony, such a funny and warm Justice of the Peace, and such kind friends (John Coates and Michele Cotton) who opened their new house to us for our reception, and even provided all the food. We are also lucky to have so many friends and family members who, though they weren't there, understood why we did it the way we did, and sent gifts and kind wishes. Thanks, all of you.
The following pages each contain a picture from the wedding day. Most of the pictures were taken by Leslie Harpold, whom I feel incredibly lucky to have known.
