Today we were touring Thunder Bay. Karrie's Dad (Phil) took us for a tour of the area, beginning with a visit to a natural spring. Then we headed about 5 minutes back toward Thunder Bay to see the Kakabeka Falls. I first heard of this place from my friend Crystal. She swore up and down, that it is far more impressive than Niagara falls . I like the fact that it's not a tourist trap. And of course, as she (and countless others have too) told me, it is most excellent.

Afterward, Karrie asked if we could go to Chippewa Park - a place that she has fond childhood memories of. So Phil managed to sneak in just enough time before he had to go to work to take us there too. We rode the little roller coaster there, and afterward went to see the zoo which is located across the road. It was then that I realised that I don't think I've ever seen a real live moose; only pictures. Everyone looked at me as though I had seven heads, upon proclaiming that. Then they became excited by the idea that they would be the ones to introduce me to my very first real moose. Unfortunately, the moose was on holidays that day. Damn him!
