Drums

Hal Blaine played drums on many of the Carpenters records. He wrote a chapter on playing with the Carpenters for his autobiography, but it was cut. Thanks to Ronald Garcia, here is the missing chapter.

Cubby O'Brien played drums in the Carpenters touring band. Randal T. Nyerges contributed this March 1997 article from the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Bass

Joe Osborn was a frequent contributor to the Carpenters studio rhythm section. Joe's web page details his amazing contributions to the world of popular music. Joe even has a page on his site about Richard Carpenter.
