ND books

I have two Neil Dimaond books:

Solitary Star by Rich Wiseman (1987) and Neil Diamond by Diana Karanikas
Harvey & Jackson Harvey.

Solitary Star is a detailed biography, researched by the author who
obviously interviewed lots of people that had contact with Neil.
Some of the comments are less than flattering, but this may be beacause
the people interviewed are no longer with Diamond and are promoting their
own agendas.

There are plenty of details provided, but I wonder about how much
reliance can be placed on the accuracy of the stories and anecdotes.

The second is a large format "picture book". The information seems to be
primarily culled from press releases and published interviews. Analysis
is light, but it offers a decent history of Neil's work.

I do not have the Alan Grossman book.

Any comments?
