Jay and his second guest, musical superstar Elton John put aside the tragedies that have affected his life recently and discussed more upbeat matters. For instance, Jay wanted to know how Elton was able to make reservations at a hotel, since he is so well-known the world over. Elton explained that he tries to stay under a different name every time, then revealed "I checked in as Sir Horace Pussy." After he stopped laughing, Jay wanted to know if Elton tells his mother his code names. Without missing a beat, Elton responded, "My mother had to say that she was Mrs. Pussy." Their discussion also dealt with the Cinemax documentary about the legendary performer entitled Tantrums and Tiaras. Elton explained his partner followed him around for a year with a video camera, and the resulting footage shows Elton as he really is. The singer explained that while most documentaries of stars tend to be reverential, in fact, "we’re all nightmares." In one clip, Elton shows off his extensive traveling wardrobe which includes not one, but two diamond tiaras. Said Jay, "I’ve gone my whole life without ever bringing a tiara" on the road, then asked why Elton needed two. "One’s less formal than the other," replied the rock icon. And though he’s won multiple Grammys and an Oscar for his work, he has never done a sitcom. Until now. Elton will be appearing in an episode of The Nanny with Fran Drescher. Elton said he had a lot of fun with the show, and even suggested that if he were to get his own show, it could be called "The Ninny." Turning to opening guest Tim Allen, Elton topped himself by suggesting, "I could do Homo Improvement." He then wrapped up the discussion with a dead-on impression of Fran Drescher’s infamous laugh.

of Something About the Way You Look Tonight off his newest album,
The Big Picture. Elton’s latest
