Louisville concert

I was fortunate enough to see Elton in Louisville.

He was "hot" that night, and at the begining of his first encore told the audience that he & the band "had a Blast!" We did too! Playing for nearly 3 hours, Elton proved why he has endured for so long. An extremely professional, intese show laced with great showmanship & musicanship. In my book NOBODY can play piano solos like he can, as he proved on some real kick ass piano jams with Honky Cat, I Don't Wanna.., Take me to the Pilot, MIE and Bennie & the Jets. He has no peers & the audience loved it!

With this tour, he played something for everyone. For long time fans, performance of We all fall in Love/Curtains, and Grey Seal was something to treasure. From the opening chords of Simple Life to his piano jams listed and the playing of his hits with incredible energy proved to is casual fans why he only gets better with age.

As a fan, I was disappointed that he did not play Rocket Man and Funeral for a Friend, but so it goes. I also agree with previous comments on Billy Trudel. Other than a backup voice, he adds very little to the stage & to the band. As with the MIE tour, I would have loved to see the female back up singers from The One tour. And there's no peer to Ray Cooper. He is definitely missed this time around. but it is Elton who makes the show. I only hope I will have his spunk at 50.
