Ok, I'm still gasping for air and am totally exhausted after just driving back 3 hours to Gainesville from Tallahassee in the middle of the night, but here goes .....
I was sitting in section Q2, a relative nosebleed section (although not too bad), minding my own business and reading the program when someone tapped me on the leg and immediately asked me if I was a die-hard fan and if I could be enthusiastic. I immediately knew what was about to happen, and the next thing I knew, I was in the front row!!!!!!!!!! The show was amazing and so were the seats. Some jerk tried to buy my ticket for $600, but I told him to stick it because you can't buy a true fan.
Elton was in great form. The setlist was identical to the last couple of shows. Levon seems to have left the set permanently, but I did hear him warming up with Levon before the show. I couldn't have dreamed to have had a better seat, right in front of the piano. Elton and I made eye contact numerous times and exchanged many big smiles and funny faces with each other. I also got a "high five," a warm handshake, and a signed tour program. It was great!!!!!!!!! I am still in awe and can't believe that it actually happened. I'd heard of it happening to other people but never thought it would happen to me!
