Elton's show rocked the midwest on Wednesday night! He was in a great mood throughout the whole show. He came out in a navy blue Versace outfit, with a black collared shirt underneath. The shirt was sequined in silver only on the collar and the left arm. - he showed it off as he took the coat off for Saturday night's......

The show was awesome! At one point, a person threw up a shirt onto the stage. Elton laughed, signed it, then gave it back. As soon as he gave it back, about 15 other people did the same thing! One guy even took off his pants to have Elton sign! EJ said into the mike as he cracked up, telling the front row to "stop taking all your clothes off!!!!" He was gracious enough to sign them ALL, even taking time to sign more during his band introductions!

I will paraphrase how Elton introduced SATWYLT: "This song is for all you couples out there, all the couples to be, and all you couples on a hot date hoping to get laid after the show tonight. Like everyone in the front row." Just then a big guy yelled out in a deep voice "I want you baby!" Elton laughed then responded "Don't come to me!" It was so funny!

The song list was pretty much the same as the 2 previous shows, except that Roy Rogers was dropped and Blue Eyes was not played. What a shock when he announced the replacement:

He said "this next song is the title track from one of our best albums, Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy." What a great concert song! Complete surprise! They rocked during the parts "for cheap easy meals..." It was the best song of the show for me, since I've never heard this live. I think he should've kept Roy Rogers and dropped Teenage Idol, though.

For the final encore, Elton came out in black basketball shorts, Air Jordans, a black t shirt, and a Red Versace coat. The coat had gold crosses on it, I think in sequins. The formality of the coat and the basketball shoes and shorts didn't jive at all. I thought to myself - Elton is the only 51 year old man who could get away with it!

Truly a memorable night. I had no problems bringing a camera into the show. Security watched me take pictures, and Elton even smiled for a bunch of them! If your ticket says "no cameras," you can still probably get away with it. Bring a disposable one, though - since it's easier to hide through the front gate.

Good luck finding the ticket guy! He's got the best seats in the house!
