Just returned from the Grand Rapids concert and very thankful I arrived home in one piece, no thanks to the snowfall! Proving once again that EJ fans will go through wind, rain, sleet and snow to see the man!
Trying to find the words to describe to you how great this solo tour is is truely impossible. Set list did not appear to change from Peoria, even left the Dusty Springfield tribute in.
One unique happening ---- in the crowd were 8 fans wearing white sweatshirts. Not terribly unique in itself, but they had letters on the shirts spelling out WE "heart symbol" ELTON. Elton noticed them immediately and got quite a chuckle out of it. Pretty soon here came 1 of the crew bringing all 8 on stage! Elton greeted them all and SIGNED EVERY SINGLE SWEATSHIRT! I think he was impressed! You could tell everyone in the crowd was thrilled for them too. After that he and the audience had a ball!
Ended way too soon even if it was 2 hrs and 50 min!
