FRESNO

By Gina Herring

Ok... here are details!!!!

It was the best show I have ever seen!!!!! The Fresno crowd was ready right from the very beginning and they let him know! Alot of people (including me) ran to the stage even before he stepped foot on it himself and I think that really threw him off! We were going nuts!! Unfortuatly, security made us sit down after the 2nd song (Skyline Pigeon) but people continued to go up throughout the show. By the end, they just let us stay.

As for the show! WOW!! Incredible! The set list basically is the same as the first leg, with the addition of House. Which I thought sounded really good live. Elton really went off the reaction of the crowd and gave it everything he had!! You could tell he was having a blast and interacted alot with the audiance! At the end he said "I don't know why I waited so long to come back to Fresno!" You know when he points to the sky, he is happy:-) and lots of fists in the air too!

I noticed a few changes, such as the Clive added some bass to Rocket Man, when ever Elton said Rocket Man, there was this real cool low bass sound. It added alot to it! Lots of good echo that was added to some songs too!

Elton extended alot of songs in Fresno, nothing like Lafayette (not in a very good mood). He was having way too much fun, and decided to just keep going!! The show lasted almost 3 1/2 hours! Out of all my 5 concerts, I have never seen him so pumped. He seemed rested, although his voice seemed just a little crackly to me in some songs.

Oh, how could I forget.... this is the first show he didn't wear a black suit!! It was a white suite with purple, almost like plaid.. or stripes. And purple rectangular glasses to match. I love when he wears rectangular glasses for some reason!

What a great night. Worth the 4 hour bus trip! Especially getting to meet some fellow NG's! What a blast!!
