Rain Forest

Awesome show! I had 5th row seats, right by Elton's piano, thanks to ej.com and a dear friend of mine. Elton came out at 8 wearing a black satin suit opening with Bitch. He made several poses on top of the piano during the song.

Set list is the same as the Amherst and Reading shows (how surprising, lol) The show had too many ballads tho, and the crowd even around me spent most of the time sitting. I tried to stand during the beginning, and people behind us were telling us to sit down. I hate that! Stay home and rent a DVD then. I respectfully sat down for about the first hour, then I thought, okay, I've sat long enough we're at a concert, time to stand up!

Nikita solo was a treat, as was Original Sin solo, Alice, and a great rendition of Rocket Man. He totally got the place rocking with FFF/LLB, Saturday, and Pinball Wizard. About 45 min or so before the show ended, security let us go up to the stage, and I was kicking myself for not bringing anything to get autographed. My friend got her ticket autographed (I had left mine in my jacket at my seat, kicking myself again). He did his usual costume change to a warm-up suit and finished with Your Song.

All in all, a great performance, just too many ballads. He should have dropped Red Shoes, The Blues, Daniel, I Want Love, and Sorry Seems, and put in some more up-tempo songs.

It was great also getting together before and after the show with my Elton pals. Love those guys!

And as much as we all complain about the same old set list, it's still a great time to just get together with Elton friends.
