Elton John in Bridgeport

By Ryan

Hi,

New to this group, but wanted to post. I was lucky enough to see Elton last night at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport. As always, Elton put on a WONDERFUL show following the same set list that was posted here before.

I MUST see him in Las Vegas! Now, I'm on a hunt for tickets! ;-)

But, I do have to say the audience left a touch to be desired! I had never been to this new arena in Bridgeport and it is a very nice facility. However, I have been to many concerts and had never quite seen a crowd like this.

The venue served refreshments throughout the show and a large part of the audience (not on the floor, but elsewhere) seemed more concerned with getting more beer and snacks than listening to Elton! We were stunned.

I can't count the number of times we were asked to stand up so someone in our isle could go get another beer, or ice cream, or soda while Elton was in the middle of a song! During Believe we were stunned to see HUGE numbers of the audience members streaming out to the refreshment stands! One woman returned to our row with FOUR BOTTLES of beer for herself!

I am not a prude, but I really have never been to ANY concert where a large portion of the audience behaved like it was a baseball game and they had to restock their snacks and drinks every 30 minutes, it was very distracting not to mention rude to Elton!

You've got Elton John sitting in front of you putting on an amazing show and you're walking out every couple of songs for another beer??!!

Oh well. We tried to ignore these people the best we could and truly enjoyed Elton's performance! Can't wait to see him again!
