Because they are mounted in foam rubber, these test tubes have a resonant quality as well as a short decay. The TesTubular is used for texture and ambient sound but Eric has been known to create massive scintillating grooves with it. The instruments surrounding the TesTubular are GlokCups (sounding like a Glockenspiel, these high pitched glass cups sound great with water in them), a large wine glass, and one of our mascots, "Ian".
