an exploration into the creative wilderness
WHAT?:
URGEshops is a professional development workshop for women in which you are invited to participate in the URGE creative process using voice, movement and improvisation. The members of URGE will lead the group in physical and vocal training as well as co-creative work with dreams, objects and the experiences of everyday life.
WHEN?:
Usually for a weekend, once or twice a year. We are available for bookings with institutions.
HOW MUCH?:
$140.00 per weekend (limited enrollment)

URGE IS A COLLECTIVE OF 5 TORONTO ARTISTS:
Marie-Josée Chartier (choreographer, dancer, singer), Katherine Duncanson (performance artist, singer), Fides Krucker (performer, mezzo-soprano), Linda Catlin Smith (composer/performer), and Joanna McIntyre (director of theatre & television). URGE was founded in 1992 and has produced 4 successful works: " I Had An Urge To Write You", "Abstract Chains", "She'd Promised She'd Bake a Pie" (which was featured on "Adrienne Clarkson Presents" on CBC), and most recently, "Trousseau-True Nature" .
