Date: Tue, 3 Nov 1998 13:00:41 -0500 (EST) From: Steven Roberts Subject: PARKING for JM's PARKING for JM's Immediately around Joe Mercury's: There is a small lot of 20 spots that is situated behind Joe Mercurys that serves a small strip mall sort of attached to Joe Mercury's out back. Don't count on too many spots being available as there are other businesses there with their customers. CROSSWAYS MALL- There is underground parking at the large apartment tower/mall on the north east corner of Dundas and Bloor called the CROSSWAYS MALL. The entrance for the lot is found turning left off BLOOR ST if you are driving EASTBOUND along Bloor. It will be on your right side. I looked at the sign for rates and they said a $10 maximum and you have 2 hours free if you get the ticket validated by one of the stores in the mail. I seem to recall that someone from the list who lived in the area stated that they don't charge on Sundays, but this is not verified. "THE MALL WITH NO NAME" South of Joe Mercury's (turning right at the lights where JM's is located) approx. 3 minute walk from JM's is a mall with a large parking lot that contains a WalMart and grocery store and a tire store. If you want I suppose you could park there at your own risk. It is free... but can't attest to the security of the area. You will have to walk north to come to Joe Mercury's. MUNICIPAL LOTS Look for the green municipal parking signs that are the circular lit signs that are green with a large "P" in the middle. There is a municipal parking lot in between the KEELE and the DUNDAS WEST subway stations. The street that is one short block north of Joe Mercury's is called EDNA AVENUE. This street provides the entrance to the municipal parking lot. If you are coming along BLOOR STREET you will see several roads on your left side that will let you get access to Edna Ave. They are called INDIAN ROAD and DORVAL ROAD. Look for the signs. Parking is cheap for the evening on Sunday.... around 3 dollars. METERS You can try to park at the meters on Bloor Street. They will be free on Sunday, but limited in numbers. Most of the meters are west of Dundas Street West along Bloor. Information regarding directions for the TTC will be simultaneously posted to the group called TTC DIRECTIONS. This driving information will also be posted separately called Driving - JM's. Steven Roberts Co-conspirator
