Can I send mime files with Yarn?

To decode such files, Metamail is recommended in the doc, but can I
also send them via email? Of course, I could just use a uuencoder and
send the result with Yarn, but I think, mail programs like Eudora
don't like such email very much, they want real file attachments. Is
there a way to make Base64 file attachments with Yarn?
I use it in combination with Uka_ppp.
